History: The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were selected from branch R5 of the grape variety, grown in Medi Valley Winery’s own vineyards in the region of the village of Smochevo. The Cabernet Franc grapes are from a single, specially selected vineyard.
Vinification: The wines from the different grape varieties were produced separately from selected, well ripe, hand-picked grapes, delivered to the winery in cases, selected on a double sorting table. Right after the fermentation, the wines were blended. The wine matured for 12 months in French oak barrels “barrique” type until it reached completeness and harmony.
Tasting notes: The color is dark ruby, beautiful, dense, with violet shades. The aroma is built of the fragrances of currant, ripe fruit, blackberry leaves and fruit, supplemented with chocolate, vanilla and confit strings. The body is voluminous, aggressively fruity, but very soft, melted tannins, dense, warm and harmonic, ripe sweetness, confit and chocolate. Long and pleasant aftertaste.
