Bukovska prepečenica plum rakia is produced from 100% local Serbian plum varieties Crvena ranka and Požegača following the traditional rakia making methods - double distillation in a Serbian cauldron pots. The primary fragrant complex of ripe plums has been preserved and discreetly enriched with aromas of Serbian oak, in which it has been aged for several years. This rakia is a natural product, free of any sugar, caramel or artificial colours and flavours.
Again the monks produce this rakia for personal consumption and only a very small quantity from the production is sold externally. It is suitable for consumption with smoked meats, salty cheeses, grilled vegetables as well as different kinds of preserves.
