TERROIR: The vineyards are at an altitude of 35-70m in a close proximity to the river Danube. The climate is continental – with high temperatures in the summer and very low in the winter, high daily temperature amplitudes in the summer. Frequent winds are also common. The soil is alluvial, sandy, rich in minerals.
AVERAGE YIELD: Controlled yield of approx 7000 kg/ha
WINEMAKING: Destemming, cold maceration 3 days at 12 degrees, fermentation in stainless steel tanks with capacity of 50 hecto litres, fermentation temperature – 23-27 degrees. Duration of total maceration – 22 days. No oak ageing.
TECHNICAL FACTS: ABV 12.70%, TA: 5.28 g/l, R. Sugars: 3.5 g/l
COLOUR: Light crimson scarlet red.
NOSE: Pronounced red berries and herbs.
PALATE: Very fresh and fruity, carrying the tipicity of the grape variety, light to medium bodied, ripe cherry and red berry notes, very elegant with silky tannins and a mild fruity sweetness on the finish.
FOOD MATCH: Vegetables, roast chicken and game birds, light soft cheeses.
