Haralambievi Family Winery H`s series includes wines made of only local Bulgarian grape varieties. It expresses the family’s vision of how with modern practices in the vineyard and in the winery these grape varieties, typical for the region, can show their true character and qualities.
APPELLATION: Danube Plain, North Bulgaria
GRAPES: 100% Kaylashki Misket, a local indigenous Bulgarian white grape variety typical for the region.
VINEYARD: Mogilite single vineyard located in the middle of the slope above Petarnishka bara river near the village of Petarnitsa.
TERROIR: The soil is shallow on a karst base with a high content of clay. The altitude is 300 m above sea level.
WINEMAKING: The grapes were hand-picked on 5th Sept in small trays. This was followed by gentle crushing and short maceration in the press for extraction of the Kaylashki Misket varietal aromas. Alcoholic fermentation in small vessels with constant temperature control. Careful tuning and work with the lees for balanced volume and structure.
TECHNICAL FACTS: ABV 12.5%, Total Acidity: 5.83 g/l, Residual Sugars: 1.6 g/l
COLOUR: Elegant straw colour
NOSE: Intense nose with pronounced notes of pineapple, quince, melon and geranium flowers. PALATE: Fresh, aromatic and zingy with notes of grapefruit, pineapple and white flowers. Lovely typical expression of this indigenous Bulgarian grape variety. FOOD
MATCH: Aperitif, Smoked salmon, Shellfish, Salads, Asian dishes.
