Beautiful maroon, sparkling, deep and very well preserved. The aroma is exceptionally intriguing and multilayered, with very good evolution. One could distinguish scents of spice, chocolate, leather, roasted nuts, which going in perfect harmony with the flavor aromas. Body is very juicy, compact, with pleasant grainy structure. The finish is long and enduring.
Consistent with our attitude to the best grapes harvested that year, we selected very carefully the vines and adapted just the right quantities of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Rubin for PITOS 2010, so that by this vintage we could please the connoisseurs of our wines. Following careful picking up of grapes by hand and placing it in crates, grapes were then transported to the winery estate by refrigerated truck. It was then sorted out to remove any unfit stems and grapes. After destemming the clusters, grapes were introduced for fermentation in stainless steel containers of 5-ton capacity. The grape pulp was infused for 7 days at 8°С, afterwards it was subjected to fermentation for 15 days, followed by post fermentation maceration for 10 days. Malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels made of different wood. The wine developed and matured in barrels for 14 months, then it was blended and bottled. Maturation in bottles lasted 24 months.
It is a wine that simply must be tasted!
Recommended for consumption with veal, pork, duck meat, and ripened cheese types.
