In the TROIS VISAGES series Haralambievi present the three faces of the classic grape variety Pinot Noir, grown in the distinctive terroir at three of their vineyards. In this Blanc de Noir they introduce us “the white face” of the grape.
APPELLATION: Danube Plain, North Bulgaria
GRAPES: 100% Pinot Noir
TERROIR: The soils are gray powerful drained from a gravel base on karst. The altitude is about 180 meters above sea level.
VINEYARD: Kalugeritsa single vineyard located on the left bank of river Vit next to the village of Sadovets.
WINEMAKING: The grapes were hand-picked on 29th August in small trays. That was followed by cooling of the grapes and gentle crushing in order to limit the extraction of colour from the skins. Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature in small vessels. Aged in stainless steel tanks and bottled. TECHNICAL FACTS: ABV 12.5%, Total Acidity: 5.43 g/l, Residual Sugars: 1.3 g/l
COLOUR: Pale straw
NOSE: Intense tropical fruit notes of pineapple and melon elegantly combined with hints of mint and violets.
PALATE: Medium bodied and fresh, with pronounced tropical and citrus notes, also a lovely hint of strawberry, long and persistent after taste. FOOD MATCH: Seafood, White meats, Vegetarian dishes
