Orbelia Winery

Orbelia is a small family run winery founded by Kostadin Chorbadzhiyski in 2013 who was later joined by his son Nikolay. The winery is located next to the village of Kolarovo at the foot of Belasitsa mountain and Orbelia is its ancient name meaning white, beautiful mountain.
Their philosophy is to produce high quality wines from traditional grape varieties, trying to preserve the old wine tradition of the region. Orbelia owns 15 ha of 37 years old vineyards in the villages of Mitinovo and Starchevo. They grow the traditional for the area local grape varieties Broad leaved Melnik, Early Melnik and Sandanski Misket and also some international ones.
The winery has modern winemaking equipment made by leading manufacturers from Bulgaria and Italy with wine vessels are from 100 to 1000 liters, which allows them to produce small batches of high quality wines.
