Made by the monks at the Bukovo monastery from 100% Black Tamjanika grape (an indigenous Serbian variety from the Muscat family), this is a unique rakia with a very pronounced aromas and flavours. It is extremely pleasant and mild which is achieved by careful double distillation in a traditional way without a distillation column and aged in stainless steel vessels for at least two years.
Тhe monks produce this rakia for themselves using exclusively own grown grapes in the monastery’s vineyards. A very small quantity from the production is sold externally. It is suitable for consumption with salads as well as different kinds of preserves.
